Pinch and ear clamps consist of a formed stainless steel band with one or two protruding ears. During installation, a specialized tool compresses the ears, drawing the band tightly around the hose or tube to create a uniform, 360-degree seal. Once crimped, the clamp maintains a consistent clamping force that does not loosen over time, even under vibration, thermal cycling, or pressure fluctuations.
This installation method produces a permanent, tamper-evident connection. Unlike screw-type clamps that can be loosened and retightened, a crimped pinch or ear clamp visually indicates whether it has been disturbed, which is a critical feature in automotive, medical, and food-grade applications.
