What Are Band Clamps?
Band clamps differ from screw-type hose clamps in that they typically use a wider band and a different tightening mechanism to apply clamping force. Depending on the design, band clamps may use a T-bolt and nut, a V-band coupling, an exhaust band mechanism, or a band-and-buckle strapping system. This variety of designs allows band clamps to address a wider range of connection sizes, pressures, and application requirements than any single clamp style.

Our EXT Series exhaust band clamps provide leak-free connections for exhaust pipes and metal pipe joints, available in 430 SS, 304 SS, and aluminized steel. T-bolt TB clamps use a T-shaped bolt mechanism to deliver high, evenly distributed clamping force for turbo, coolant, and air intake connections. Spring-loaded T-bolt TBLS clamps add a spring element for constant tension performance in thermally cycling applications. Heavy-duty T-bolt TBA and TBB clamps provide maximum clamping force for the most demanding industrial connections. V-band coupling clamps enable quick-connect and disconnect capability for flanged pipe and exhaust connections. The Strap-Tight band and buckle system offers adjustable strapping for oversized or irregularly shaped connections.
